Impossible' white dwarf star has been spotted hidden in data from the now defunct Kepler mission - but scientists claim it 'shouldn't exist'

Kento Masuda of Princeton University in New Jersey and colleagues discovered the binary star system in data from the Kepler space telescope before it was retired in October 2018.
